The Ginger Room

One of Canberra's premiere fine dining restaurants, The Ginger Room is set in the historical and luxurious surrounds of Old Parliament House.

Featuring the culinary skills of Janet Jeffs, the menu offers creative, contemporary Australian cuisine with French and Vietnamese influences.

Once the private members dining room, the space combines 1927 heritage features with contemporary design.

This work was undertaken by Adelaide based artist and designer, Craige Andrae whose vision was to create a spectacular restaurant interior whilst maintaining links to the heritage of the location.

Ginger Room boasts an intimate cocktail lounge for drinks with bar snacks, comfortable lounges and mood lighting.

Also, located adjacent to the Ginger Room, the Private Dining Room is ideal for a more intimate evening. This space can cater from 10 – 40 guests and is an excellent way to enjoy your special occasion.

The menu changes each month, and with a generous fixed price menu and excellent wine list, there are no excuses to miss The Ginger Room.
